Privacy Policy for ACCI, publisher of College Bound Guide™

  1. Introduction
    ACCI has created this privacy policy to describe our data gathering practices and to demonstrate our commitment to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of your personal information.
  2. Collection of Data
    ACCI collects the following types of information to process your subscription to College Bound Guide™ :
    1. Personal Information: Name, Home/Billing Address, and Telephone Number
    2. Email Address
    3. Credit Card Information

    The online College Bound Guide™ subscription process requires users to provide personal, demographic and credit card information. The information is used to process subscriptions and to contact subscribers when necessary.
    Web servers typically collect, at least temporarily, the following information: Internet Protocol (IP) address of computer being used; web pages requested; referring web page; browser used; date and time. ACCI may collect statistics identifying particular IP addresses from which ACCI websites are accessed. Cookies are not currently used to remember users who return to the site, however we reserve the right to use them in the future. The browser-IP-address information and anonymous-browser history is used to report information about site accesses, for profiling purposes, and for troubleshooting. This information is generally used to improve website presentation and utilization.
    ACCI does not sell, rent, or exchange any personal information collected or gathered online about visitors unless (i) provided for otherwise in this Privacy Policy; (ii) a service provided on our site requires the interaction with or is provided by a third party; (iii) pursuant to legal process or law enforcement; or (iv) we find that your use of this site violates this Policy or other usage guidelines or as deemed reasonably necessary by us to protect our legal rights and/or property.

    This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
  5. Third Party and Partner Sites
    While using the College Bound Guide™ online resource center, ResourceCenter, you may encounter links to the websites of organizations not directly affiliated with ACCI. ACCI does not control the content or information practices of external organizations. We recommend you review the privacy statements of these organizations.
